Apps

An app is one of the key components when integrating with VAKA Online and connected VAKA systems. It represents the solution you as an integrator provide.

Apps are managed from the Customer Portal and comes in two different flavours depending on the use-case.

Private App

A private app allows you to create an integration for private use only. It is suitable while developing/testing an integration or for solely in-house purposes.

Marketplace App

If your integration is directed to targeting VAKA Online customers, this is the right choice of app. It is intended for publication on VAKA Online Marketplace. Once published, it makes it possible for users outside your organisation to connect to and take advantage of your solution. Typically, you start developing your integration using a private app. When you feel ready to launch it on VAKA Online Marketplace you create a corresponding Marketplace app and requests a publication.

Features

A feature represents a specific functionality area that can be utilized in the API. An app must always be associated to one or more features, which in turn decides which API functionality the app can use.

For Marketplace Apps, the selected features is also used to clearly manifest for the customer what the app requires and its intentions.

Available features:

• Door Control

  Provides access to API functions for door control operations in VAKA, such as unlocking a door.

• Reservations

  Provides access to API functions for managing reservations in VAKA, such as making or cancelling a reservation.
